Jose Mourinho insists he has no regrets about letting striker Romelu Lukaku leave Chelsea to join Everton on loan this season.

Chelsea have only hit the back of the net seven times in the Premier League so far while their striking options, Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba, are yet to score a league goal between them.

Lukaku meanwhile has impressed since joining Everton during the summer transfer window, and has scored three times in as many games for his new club.

Mourinho has come in for criticism for letting the big Belgian forward leave Stamford Bridge for the season once more, but he insists that it was the right decision to make.

Asked if he regrets the deal, Mourinho replied: "No. It's one thing to play for Everton another to play for Chelsea."

Mourinho takes his Chelsea side to Norwich on Sunday, and they'll be looking for three points after a rocky start under the Special One in his second spell in charge.

They go into the game buoyed by a a 4-0 win in the Champions League against Steaua Bucharest, and Mourinho has called for more of the same from his team.

"The team was very proactive against Bucharest from the start,' Mourinho said.

'It’s not easy to go there. The team even winning 2-0 didn’t try and defend the result. Against Tottenham the team kept going, this is the mentality I want. I always think it’s harder to change mentality than tactics.

"We have a lot to improve. We will have ups and downs. I’m ready for that. After the defeat we won at home, we did a fantastic second half. 16 days without football it’s a period to analyse."
