Is Jose Mourinho covering his big Chelsea blunder?

Jose Mourinho has defended his decision to loan Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to Everton, saying he has no regrets.

Is it just me, or does this have sore loser written all over it?

I can tell you now, if one of my players had scored zilch for me - I would not be too pleased if they had gone on to have a corker like Lukaku has done for another team.

I'd be screaming "traitor" from the rooftops and stamping my feet.

Three goals in two Premier League appearances isn't bad going considering his goalless performances for Chelsea in the league up against Hull City and Aston Villa.

Chelsea clearly nurtured his talent well, only to pass him on to Everton ensuring their success.

That's why I'm surprised that Mourinho has kept his cool about the whole sticky situation - which by the way will continue to the end of the season.

As confirmed by Everton boss Roberto Martinez, Chelsea are unable to recall the star player, and with Fernando Torres out for three weeks it is certainly a subject to have a stomp around about.

So Mourinho, I have a funny feeling you're playing games here. I'm calling your bluff!

Mourinho told reporters when asked if he regrets the move: "No. It is one thing to play for Everton and another to play for Chelsea."

It's funny though, Mourinho clearly thinks he has the better side, but this blunder has cost him a spot in the top four of the Premier League table with Everton creeping ahead - all down to the goals from Lukaku.

A bad workman always blames his tools, and Mourinho is no different in this situation, blaming harder fixtures for his side's recent dip in form.

Chelsea have won one of their four league outings, extended further by Saturday's draw against Tottenham 1-1.

Their next Premier League game sees the Blues face Norwich, who are 14th in the table, on Sunday.

Well, Mourinho, if bad fixtures are the reason you're not in the top four, this should be a walk in the park for your boys.

I'll be waiting for you to thrash them with baited breath.
