Manchester United are set to offer midfield star Michael Carrick a new contract, according to The Metro.
Carrick, who has been an integral part to the Red Devils' side in the last few years, had earlier hinted that he wanted a new deal and now United look set to act.
The old Trafford outfit are ready to make the England international one of their top earners and offer him an extended deal worth £90,000 a week - which will be £20,000 more than the current £70,000 he earns.
The midfielder played a key role in United's title winning campaign last season under sir Alex Ferguson and new boss David Moyes also sees the 32-year-old as an integral part of his side.
The Red Devils star is expected to put pen to paper on a three year deal within the coming days. However, his immediate focus will be on United's trip to the Stadium of Light as they take on bottom of the league Sunderland tomorrow.
United and Carrick will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the league after back-to-back domestic defeats against Manchester City and West Brom.
