Lionel Messi has released plans showing a football-inspired house which he intends to build.

The Barcelona superstar has failed in his attempts to find a new house in Catalonia, according to Metro, and is now ready to build his own place following the birth of son Thiago.

But, rather than your traditional two-up, two-down, the Argentine international playmaker has opted for a rectangular design split down the middle with a centre-circle at the heart of the site.

One half of the plot is a swimming pool, the other some grass – presumably where Thiago can hone his football skills.

And, in the middle, the large circular building will presumably represent living quarters, with that also split in half with a glass roof on one side and grass on the other.

It really is quite amazing, so check out the video with the images (from 1 minute 45 seconds) at the top of this story...
