According to this morning's Sunday people Real Madrid will allow French International Striker Karim Benzema to leave in January for a fee around £17 Million.
This is sure to alert the likes of Arsenal who are light in that area as are Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to be following this situation very closely.
It is no secret that Madrid have been made aware that they will need to sell players to realign their finances after securing Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale in the Summer.
Benzema's availability will no doubt fuel more speculation that they will be making a move for Liverpool's want-away striker Luis Suarez who it is believed was holding out for a bid from Madrid in the summer which did not materialise due to Madrid concentrating on the Bale deal.
Benzema who had his best season under the now Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho in the 2011/2012 campaign which saw the Frenchman score 32 goals in 52 games for his club this contributed heavily to a very successful campaign for Madrid who ended Barcelona's dominance by securing their first La Liga title since 2008.
At just £17 million you would imagine there will be a very long queue from Europe's elite clubs lining up to take Benzema he is a bargain at that price, he is still only 25-years-old, in many ways he is the ideal striker; quick, strong, has very good movement, good in the air and is a good finisher.
Arsenal have had to bring back Nicklas Bendtner due to a lack of cover for Olivier Giroud in that position while Chelsea have only three strikers in Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba.
