Any Premier League title winning squad needs a pair of world-class goal scorers in their line up.

In fact, out of 21 completed Premier League seasons, the Golden Boot has gone to the title winning team on eight occasions, proving it's very difficult to win without at least one quality finisher.

But a world-class striker is nothing without his team mates and, usually, their most important team mate is their striking partner.

Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge are showing all the signs of being the Premier League's next big striking partnership.

Since Suarez's return from suspension, he has netted three times with Sturridge leading the goal scoring charts with six goals himself.

Could they inspire Liverpool to the title? Possibly.

Here we take a look at five partnerships that did inspire a title win for their team.
