A Twitter spat between players, pundits and fans is common place in sport these days, but in the NFL official team accounts have been taking swipes at others.
Denver Broncos travel to Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in a game they're expected to win comfortably, and whoever is responsible for the Broncos official twitter account has the stats to back it up.
Broncos have enjoyed a perfect start to the season so far, winning all four of their games, including a thriller against Dallas Cowboys in their last fixture.
In contrast, the Jaguars are 0-5 and sit bottom of the AFC South standings, having registered just 51 points in five games.
The Denver Broncos managed to match those 51 points in just one fixture, the recent 51-48 victory over the Cowboys, and the official twitter account chose to highlight that.
They originally tweeted saying: "The #Broncos' 51 points in yesterday's win are as many points as the Jaguars have scored all season."
Understandably, the Jaguars were unimpressed and were quick to reply, although they seemed reluctant to be drawn into an argument, they tweeted: "Stay classy, Denver. RT @DenverBroncos: The #Broncos' 51 points in yesterday's win are as many points as the Jaguars have scored all season."
Keen to have the last word, the Broncos justified the tweet, saying: "No shots, just stats. RT @jaguars: Stay classy, Denver. MT @DenverBroncos: #Broncos' 51 pts Sun. are as many as JAX has scored all season."
The game was originally expected to be a hugely one-sided affair, but the Broncos love of 'stats' may have given the Jaguars roster an extra incentive as they look to kickstart their season.
