Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim is on the radar of a number of European clubs, according to Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Stromsgodset and his impressive form has been key to the Norwegian side sitting top of the Tippeligaen with just four games remaining.

With comparisons to French legend Patrick Vieira, it is believed numerous clubs have shown an interest, given his apparent availability in January.

Newcastle, Sevilla, Espanyol, Real Betis, Lyon, Lille, Saint Etienne, Bordeaux, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have all been quoted as being interested, and with the Norwegian under-21's contract up next summer it is thought his days as a City player are numbered.

Ibrahim is due to return from his loan spell in December, and with Manuel Pellegrini boasting an impressive array of midfield options it appears the youngster may leave in January.

Having signed for City in 2010, the 6ft2in midfielder made two substitute appearances for Norway at this summer's European U21 Championships.
