Wayne Rooney has won the Manchester United Goal of the Month award for September, beating off competition from Javier Hernandez and Adnan Januzaj.
The England striker won the majority of the vote for his wonderful free-kick strike against Manchester City in the derby defeat.
David Moyes' side were disappointing in going down 4-1 to their rivals but Rooney still managed to show his class when he bagged the consolation goal in the final three minutes.
Nearly 30 yards out, Rooney curled an unstoppable shot over the wall and into the top corner just past the hand of the diving Joe Hart in goal.
ManUtd.com members got the chance to vote for their favourite goal and gave Rooney 38 per cent of the vote, beating man of the moment Januzaj's reserve team goal into second and Hernandez's Capital One Cup winner against Liverpool into third.
