Former-2008 Olympic champion James DeGale is set to make a third defence of his WBC silver super middleweight title at Glow, Bluewater in Kent.

Although an opponent is yet to be named, the 27-year-old is looking forward to climbing through the ropes at a venue he described to Sky Sports.

He said: "It has a real intimate feel, which is something that the boxing fraternity and us as fighters love."

The 168lbs fighter can not overlook the biggest fight in his division - Carl Froch vs George Groves with Froch's WBA and IBF titles on the line, occurring a week after his clash.

DeGale added: "I look at the Froch vs. Groves fight and I know that in the next six months it's likely that I'll fight the winner of that one, so it really is exciting times.

"I'm ready and willing to fight anyone and it's time to step up and face the best."

DeGale lost his British title to Groves in 2011 and will be all the more eager to avenge his one and only loss.
