Arsenal were rewarded for the start to the season, as two members of the club received awards in recognition of their hard work.
Aaron Ramsey received the Barclays Player of the Month Award for September, with Arsene Wenger picking up the Manager of the Month award.
The month of September was a promising one for Arsene Wenger's men, producing five wins from six games, the only draw coming from their clash with West Brom in the Capital One Cup, which Arsenal won thanks to Nacho Monreal's penalty.
These results were a significant improvement from the Gunner's opening day of the Premier League season, where they suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa. The results picked up after that with away and home wins against Fenerbache and a 3-1 away win against Fulham.
Arsenal continued their impressive form, beating Tottenham 1-0, Sunderland 3-1, Marseille 2-1, Stoke 3-1 and Swansea 2-1. The month of October looks promising as well, with a 2-0 win against Napoli and a 1-1 draw against West Brom in the Premier League, courtesy of a late Jack Wilshere equaliser.
These results see Wenger's men sitting at the top of the table, tied with Liverpool who have had the same number of wins, draws and losses.
As for Aaron Ramsey, eight goals in nine games for the Gunners is an impressive tally for a midfielder. He was seriously out of form last season, so to bounce back and be in the best form anyone has seen from him since his horrific injury, it's not a surprise he picked up the player's accolade.
