Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has reveled that he is happy with Liverpool's current position.
The defender, speaking to Danish newspaper BT, said that he is delighted with Liverpool's start to new campaign.
"It has been a pleasure so far with the start that we have had to the season," he said. "Just look at where we are now."
Liverpool currently sit joint top of the Premier League with 16 points from seven games, and have also managed an impressive win over fierce rivals Manchester United.
Despite his early injury troubles, the Dane has managed to make four league starts in five appearances so far this season.
"I was in the starting line-up for the first three games and then I have had some injury problems," he continued. "But, I know my body and I know that I do have problems from time to time. It happened now but that does not make me fear that I have lost my place in the team, not at all."
Toure has started five times this season, whilst Sakho has started all four of the games that he has been involved in. Agger will also likely face future competition from Tiago Ilori, who signed from Sporting Lisbon in the Summer.
The Dane is happy to see new players arriving, conceding that top clubs need competition to improve performances.
"The other players have done well and it is great that we have competition for places," he added. "If we want to be in the top of the league then we have to have competition for all places, I have been here for eight years and I know how it is in a club like Liverpool."
Agger will be hoping to stay injury-free this season in a bid to ensure that he is chosen in the club's starting XI.
