James DeGale wants to fight the eventual winner of Carl Froch and George Groves, who meet in Manchester on November 23.
The WBC Silver super-middleweight champion believes he is next in line to face the winner and have a shot at the WBA and IBF belts currently held by Froch.
"I'd say I'm inside the top 10 and very excited to mix it with the best and show everything I've got." said DeGale, according to Metro.
The Olympic gold medallist has a record of 16 victories and one defeat, and is under no illusions about the difficulty of the division.
"It's a really strong division with a lot of talented fighters," he added.
Before DeGale can concentrate on the winner of the Froch-Groves bout, he must take care of his own business with a fight on November 16 at the Glow Arena in Bluewater, Kent - though his opponent for the match is yet to be confirmed.
The 27-year-old has in fact fought Groves previously, losing on points to the undefeated super-middleweight in 2011.
However, DeGale - never short of confidence - is excited about the potential match up.
"I look at the Froch V Groves fight and I know in the next six months it's likely I'll fight the winner of that one, so it really is exciting times," he concluded.
"I'm ready and willing to fight anyone and it's time to step up and face the best."
