Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand feels that there is much more to come from rising West Ham starlet Ravel Morrison following the midfielder’s performance in the 3-0 victory over Spurs on Saturday.
The 20-year-old midfielder has somewhat turned his life around after a turbulent spell at Manchester United that saw him leave following a pay dispute. He joined the Hammers for a bargain fee of just over £1million, and joined Birmingham City on-loan last season.
Morrison enjoyed an impressive spell in the Championship, and Ferdinand feels that there is much more to come from the former Red Devils youngster.
Ferdinand tweeted: “Great to see Ravel Morrison playing well and focused consistently now. That goal wouldn’t make his show reel by the way.”
Morrison scored the third in the West Ham's overwhelming victory over Tottenham Hotspur, with the youngster running from inside his own half to eventually chip the ball past Hugo Lloris.
Following an impressive start to the season, Sam Allardyce will be looking at the possibility of a contract extension in the New Year.
