One of the biggest moves in the NBA off-season and the biggest move for the Golden State Warriors was the acquisition of versatile swingman Andre Iguodala.
He was an excellent pickup for the Warriors, an experienced defender on the wing who could do nothing but good for this young team. The only problem this caused was whether to start Harrison Barnes or Klay Thompson on the bench, and, if I may say so myself, that is a pretty good problem to have.
Iguodala is a 9-year veteran. He is a very versatile player as he can do it on the defensive end and plays just as well on the offensive end. He is a lock down perimeter defender and, with his quickness and athleticism, bothers everyone on defence. On offence, Iguodala is quick, athletic and explosive.
With the acquisition of Iguodala, the Warriors fill a very big void left by both Carl Landry and Jarrett Jack, with the help of Marreese Speights and Tony Douglas. He fits in the team very well and the team chemistry is at an all-time high for the Warriors, as you could tell from the start when Iguodala tagged Curry in a tweet saying "LET'S GET IT!!!" and also with the oops Iguodala was throwing down.
The Warriors looked very strong last year with a surprising playoff run. This year, they have an important piece that they didn't have last year - Iguodala.
Iguodala brings so much to the Warriors, experience, offence and, most importantly, defence. He can teach young small forward Barnes and young shooting guard Thompson all the fundamentals of defence.
Iguodala is a perfect pick up for the warriors because he can help the team in so many ways and he immediately puts them among the championship contenders. They may be able to make the finals and maybe even win a title.
