10. Mark Schwarzer (Unattached to Chelsea) - Free

The sensational Australian international was released by Fulham at the end of 2012-13 and fellow London club, Chelsea were on the look-out for a back-up goalkeeper for Petr Cech after releasing Ross Turnbull.

The Blues moved promptly to complete a move for Schwarzer on a free transfer with the player delighted with the deal, acknowledging Chelsea to be one of the biggest clubs in Europe. He would provide the perfect back-up option that Chelsea have been searching for years.
