Manchester City star Yaya Toure has admitted that he misses former Citizens stars Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez.
Balotelli left the Etihad outfit in January and Tevez departed in the summer. And, when discussing Balotelli's controversial time in England, Toure believed the press were constantly on his back meaning it was difficult for the Italian to settle. Toure also revealed that he tried to help the star by giving him advice.
Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport's Extra Time, he said: "Mario's not a friend, he's a brother to me.
"I really like him and I was very sad when he moved to Milan. But he had all of the English press on his back, the paparazzi were following him everywhere and never left him alone. They were always attacking him, no matter what he did.
"It was difficult for him to control that situation: living alone in a big house, with his friends and lots of money, being famous. I tried to give him some advice and to help him, explain to him how professionals live."
Toure has also hailed the impact that his former manager Roberto Mancini had on his career and he's insisted that he learnt a lot from his former coach.
The Ivorian international continued by saying: "True friends exist, like my Ivorian team-mates and like my ex-boss [Roberto] Mancini, who helped me a great deal.
"He was always close to me when I arrived here and he gave me chances, explaining to me what a real champion is.
"[That's] somebody who trains hard to avoid injuries, is focused and takes care of what they eat. Roberto was a fantastic player and he taught me a lot."
And, Toure has admitted that he would love to play against his Balotelli or Tevez in this year's Champions League.
Toure went on to praise City's former Argentine star and insisted that his current club Juventus will get great success with Tevez, as he said: "He's superb; my favourite attacker, I love him. He works hard, is a great professional and a friend.
"Juve are going to do well with him. I'd love him to return here in the Champions League, like Mario with Milan. I'm waiting for them. When I lost them, I was upset."
