Manchester United defender Patrice Evra will not be making a move to Roma in the January transfer window, if comments from his agent are anything to by.
Federico Pastorello has dismissed claims that his client could be leaving the Red Devils for Serie ‘A’ in the New Year, revealing that he knows nothing about the speculation.
“I don’t know anything about this rumour,” he wrote on Twitter.
Evra has made a solid start to the season under new manager David Moyes, having previously worn the captain’s armband on a number of occasions under old boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, the Frenchman’s future at Manchester United was called into question in the summer, with the Premier League champions heavily linked with a move for England international full-back Leighton Baines.
A switch failed to materialise though, and the 32-year-old has remained first choice ahead of Alex Buttner.
That could change if the manager pursues the signature of Baines once again in 2014, but for the time being, Evra's future looks set to be at Manchester United.
