The Germans have won seven of their eight games played and five points ahead of Sweden at the top of Group C.

Rues' last goal in the qualifying stage came against Kazakhstan in the 90th minute but most notably struck twice against the Republic of Ireland.

The German has played 19 times for national team, striking seven times in total with one assist.
