The Manchester United man came close to topping the list with his five goals in four games but narrowly missed out.

England fans will be hoping he is in the same deadly form for the crucial Group H clashes against Montenegro and Poland at Wembley on 11 and 15 October, that the Three Lions need to win in order to be assured of qualification.
