Arsenal goalkeeper target Brad Guzan insists he is happy to stay with Aston Villa despite reports linking him with a move to north London.

The veteran shotstopper moved to the Premier League in 2008 and after being understudy to the likes of Brad Friedel and Shay Given, is finally being the chance to show what he can do with an extended run as Villa's number one.

His recent good form has prompted Arsenal to take an interest in him according to various reports in America.

The future of the Gunners' current number one, Wojciech Szczesny, was put in doubt over the summer as the north London club were linked with a string of high-profile shotstoppers.

Eventually Arsenal decided to put their faith in the Polish international and signed Emiliano Viviano from Palermo as back up.

Guzan says that although he is flattered by reports of Arsenal's interest he is happy to stay put at Villa Park.

"Aston Villa, they've stuck by me, especially the manager, [Paul Lambert]," said Guzan ahead of America's qualifier against Jamaica tomorrow.

"He’s given me a chance to play consistent football in Europe. It’s always nice when you’re linked with other teams, but for me, I’m very happy at Aston Villa."
