With his ultra-smooth playing style, incredible vision and trademark beard there has arguably never been a footballer who oozes as much confidence and sheer class than Andrea Pirlo.

The Italian, who can currently be found in Turin orchestrating midfield proceedings for Serie A champions Juventus, is one of the modern game's most elegant passing greats.

With four Serie A titles and two Champions League crowns to his name - as well a treasured World Cup winners medal earned during a distinguished international career with his native Italy - the 34-year-old has enjoyed an excellent career that has also seen spells with both Milan giants.

This week, the Daily Express - among others - have reported that a number of top Premier League sides could be set to battle it out with European heavyweights for Pirlo - whose contract with Juve is set to expire next summer.

Here, in line with the rumours this week that a number of English top-flight teams are chasing Pirlo's signature, GMS lists five potential Premier League destinations (plus one from abroad) for the cultured midfielder and decides upon which team may need him the most...
