Former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has been training with French side Monaco reports talkSPORT.
The Mali midfielder has been without a club since agreeing to leave another mega-rich French side, Paris Saint Germain.
Sissoko had spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina but struggled to make an impact and only featured five times for the Italian outfit.
Now, talkSPORT are reporting the former combative midfielder is training with Monaco, linking up once again with Claudio Ranieri.
Ranieri had previously paid £8.2 million to take Sissoko to Juventus from Liverpool in January 2008, but his time in Turin was blighted by a series of injuries and inconsistent form as he failed to endear himself to the Juve fans.
Sissoko was linked with a move to Championship outfit Reading in the summer as Nigel Adkins attempts to mastermind an immediate return to the Premier League, however a deal never materialised.
It's yet to be confirmed whether Sissoko is battling to earn a contract in the Principality or whether he's simply trying to regain fitness as he continues his search for another club, but he's likely to approve of a move to the Ligue 1 leaders.
The 28-year-old arrived at Liverpool in 2005 under the tutelage of his former Valencia boss, Rafael Benitez and despite winning an FA Cup winners medal in his first season, Sissoko failed to become a regular Anfield starter.
