Marcel Desailly | Ghana to France

The French World Cup winner was born in Ghana before moving to France at the tender age of four.

Desailly, who played for Chelsea, went on to play 116 games for the French national team and was named captain between 2001 and 2003.

It seems that he never had any doubts about who he was going to play for, however, and was always destined to represent Les Bleus.

In an interview with FourFourTwo he said: "No, I never imagined playing for Ghana. I played for France from the age of 13."
