Top five: Premier League super-subs (2)

Samir Nasri

Manchester City's Samir Nasri has had to compete with a host of new arrivals for a starting place at the Etihad this season.

With the arrivals of Spain international Jesus Navas and Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho at City, Nasri's middle-park competition has increased.

The France international has started three league games, whilst appearing from the bench on four occasions.

He is a player that tired full-backs will hate to see appear in their sight.

In the first game of the season, Nasri came on in the 62nd minute against Newcastle, and had his first goal of the season 10 minutes later.

Despite a goal in his starting-role against rivals Manchester United during City's 4-1 win, Nasri had to settle for a place on the Eastlands bench in their last PL match against Everton, mainly due to the return to fitness of David Silva.

Nasri will not be guaranteed to start this season and could become one of the season's best super-subs.
