Sunderland have only one point from seven league games this season.
Much of the blame obviously lies at the door of sacked manager Paolo Di Canio, who was ousted in a player coup nearly three weeks ago.
Whilst there is optimism surrounding the recently announced appointment of Gus Poyet as new manager of the Black Cats, many pundits still feel that Sunderland will struggle this season.
Indeed, the Telegraph reported that 'no club have ever avoided relegation with only one point from their opening seven games.'
Poyet will struggle with so many new players lacking Premier League experience.
