Arsenal could make a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan, according to reports in The Mirror.

American star Guzan impressed in goal for Villa last term and has carried his good form into this season, sparking interest from the league leaders.

The 29-year-old recently signed a four-year contract extension at Villa Park after being named the Midlands club's Player of the Year but his future now looks in doubt.

After being linked with a number of goalkeepers over the summer, it's hardly surprising that Wenger has his eyes on Guzan as he continues his search for a more reliable replacement for Wojciech Szczesny.

Although, current Gunners' no.1 Szczesny has seen his form improve over the course of the season.

However, sources in the MLS have reinforced that Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing Guzan to the club as he looks to further improve his squad at the north London outfit.
