One of the best wide receivers in the NFL is now done for the season with Julio Jones ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
Jones, easily the Atlanta Falcons' best player, is out with a fractured foot. The injury is apparently not entirely new to Jones as it was reported that it gave him issues after running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
The injury took place during the Falcons loss against the New York Jets and Jones hoped to hear better news. After hearing that he would require surgery and therefore miss the rest of the season, Jones wanted to hear a second opinion and unfortunately for him and the Falcons, there was no getting around it.
With Jones gone the Falcons are desperately looking for offensive weapons outside of Tony Gonzalez. Both Roddy White and Steven Jackson are suffering from injuries.
Usual slot receiver Harry Douglas is expected to start in place of the injured All-Pro receiver but how he produces will be looked at very closely.
