Galatasaray are considering a potential bid for Real Madrid striker and Arsenal target Karim Benzema, according to sources quoted by talkSPORT.
25-year-old Benzema, who joined the La Liga giants from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon during the summer of 2009, has repeatedly struggled for form so far this season and has subsequently become a target for persistent and vocal criticism from supporters at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Having been widely linked with a potential switch to Arsene Wenger's Gunners during the summer, speculation has continued to increase - even after the close of the window back in early September - over Benzema's future.
With Arsenal still said to be interested in securing the French international's signature, according to sources quoted by talkSPORT, they could be set to face stiff competition from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The reigning Süper Lig champions, who are now managed by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, are reportedly set to make Benzema their number one transfer target if star frontman Burak Yilmaz - who himself has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days - departs the Türk Telekom Arena.
