It's been eight years since the Gunners lifted the FA cup in 2005, and since then Arsene Wenger's men have failed to bring home any silverware.
But that hasn't stopped German international, and record breaking signing, Mesut Ozil from praising the Frenchman, saying he is sure Wenger can lead Arsenal to success this season.
Speaking to reporters in Cologne, Ozil praised Wenger's efforts to turn the Gunners' fortunes around.
He said: "He's a super coach.
"He knows exactly what he wants, he has very definite ideas about where he wants to take his team.
"We need a coach like that if we want to be successful."
The 24-year-old transferred to the London outfit in September for £42.5million, after a shock exit from Spanish side Real Madrid following the arrival of new manager Carlo Ancelotti.
In 104 La Liga games, the midfielder netted 19 goals across three seasons, and recently told reporters he: "had a great three years in Madrid".
Ozil is expected to play in tonight in Germany's World Cup qualifier against Ireland - and if he does it will see him win his 50th cap for Germany.
Germany only require two points from their last two qualifier's - and if Ozil's flying start with Arsenal is anything to go by, they certainly won't have trouble securing their spot at the World Cup in Brazil next summer.
