Mario Balotelli would have to be mad to join Manchester United… Luckily, he is!
While it seems like a deal for the Red Devils to bring the former Manchester City man to Old Trafford is slightly unrealistic, it could well be argued that the controversial Italian may one day be open to a move to the Theatre of Dreams.
And, here is why:
The Italian forward, who left Manchester in January, proved a constant liability throughout his time with the Citizens. As famous for controversy as he is on the pitch, 'Super Mario' is a wayward character to say the least.
I guess you could compare him in a sense to United legend Eric Cantona. I'm sure it would appeal to the Italian to try and emulate one of the world's most talented ever players…
But, I guess the biggest obstacle blocking Balotelli with a move to Manchester United is Manchester City.
There's no doubt that the 23-year-old had a love affair with the club, but is the forward really one to keep a place in his heart for the Etihad club.
Basically, it wouldn't have taken the striker long to move on.
And, as United don't need need a forward just yet, and Balotelli seems settled in Italy, the Red Devils may not tempt him with a move for another year or two.
This would send Balotelli's memory of City even further back in his mind.
Perhaps Balotelli could become the long-term replacement for one of Wayne Rooney or Robin van Persie at the Old Trafford outfit.
I guess on the flip side, many would ask just why would United take a risk on the star.
But there are many reasons: The striker is showing signs of maturing in Milan but, the main reason that he could join the English champions is that on his day he is unplayable and a world-beater.
No one will ever forget his heroics in Euro 2012.
And, with age on his side, there is only room for improvement for the centre-forward. Great belief in his own ability and quite wonderful talent, he has it all.
There would of course be an element of risk involved in bringing him back to England, but United have had big egos on their books before: The likes of Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo have certainly had minds of their own, but they've still gone on to reach great heights at United.
And, while on the subject of Cantona, his switch was controversial in itself, the French legend arrived at Old Trafford from Leeds United and those two clubs certainly share a rivalry of their own.
With unfinished business in England, Balotelli may well jump at the chance to embark on perhaps his most controversial decision yet.
So, maybe one day we will see the 'Why always me' t-shirt at Old Trafford again.
