1.50 York - Thouwra
An easy winner last time out at Epsom winning by three and a quarter lengths as the three year old continues to progress. The ground is on the softer side which the colt thrives on and has always placed on the going. The main competition comes from John Gosden's Seek Again. He's disappointed this year however had a good run last time out when fifth in Cambridgeshire.
2.05 Newmarket - Lockwood
Another Goldophin owned horse I'm picking here who has talent. Already a Group 3 winner and second last time out in the Group 2 OLGB Park Stakes, finishing ahead of Gregorian. Darwin for Aidan O'Brien is head of the market at 11/4 however she looks an awful price as she was third last time out at the Curragh and behind Angsar who competes in this race.
2.35 Newmarket - Brown Sugar (e.w)
16/1 looks a superb price for this Richard Hannon trained horse. Already a two time Group 3 winner, he wasn't all that far behind the fantastic No Nay Never in the Group 1 Darley in France. The colt has a fantastic turn of foot and has showed lots of heart to win the race at Kempton was time.
Great White Eagle for Aidan O'Brien is currently the favourite, however it is another over-priced horse when it didn't beat much last time out in Ireland. Hot Streak looks good, however it has already been beaten in the past by runners Supplicant and my tip Brown Sugar.
3.10 Newmarket - War Command
Another O'Brien horse who leads the market, however this one looks like his winner. An unbelievable six length victory in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot was followed by a poor run. However he was right back on track at the Curragh last time with a three length victory. The horse appreciates good ground, which is expected.
