Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the summer to replace the outgoing Victor Valdes, reports the Daily Mail.
The German goalkeeper's stock has been rising throughout Europe for a string a good performances in the Bundesliga which has seen him capped three times by his country despite competition from Manuel Neur.
Still only 21, the keeper has hosted the attention of many top clubs but Barcelona appear to have won the race for the coveted youngster.
According to reports, a deal worth around 8 million Euro's has been agreed with the German side for whom he has made 79 league appearances.
The Catalan giants have been with a number of goalkeepers following the news that Valdes would not be renewing his contract having spent 11 years at the Nou Camp, a list that includes the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Pepe Reina and Fraser Forster.
The 31-year-old looks set to join big spending AS Monaco.
Barcelona fans will be said to see their local hero move elsewhere after a period of huge success despite some accusations that he made too many mistakes.
Valdes looks set to leave on a high, his side are on course to win another La Liga title as they have a 100% record after eight games under new boss Gerardo Martino.
Meanwhile in Germany, ter Stegen could be warming up for a potential Nou Camp career nicely as his side are in fourth place so far.
