The reigning French champions have quietly gone about their business, with Ibrahimovic firing PSG to second place in the league.

Though they lie in second place behind Monaco on goal difference, PSG hold a slim advantage over Monaco by virtue of their striking performances in Europe.

Laurent Blanc’s men have sailed through comfortably in both of their group stage games, recording 4-1 and 3-0 wins over Olympiakos and Benfica respectively.

Les Parisiens have avoided defeat in every competitive game since April, a remarkable feat, including last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Marseille despite being reduced to 10 men.

Record signing Edinson Cavani is yet to hit the form that saw him sought after by the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City despite netting five goals in all competitions.

The lethal Uruguayan will be required to be at his best over the next few weeks, with clashes against Saint Etienne and Anderlecht.
