You won't be wishing for the return of top-flight action when you see how they roll in the Conference Premier in England. There's a sentence we never thought we'd would write...

Edgar Davids has never been much of a shrinking violet but he perhaps over-stepped the mark a tiny little bit while playing for Barnet against Wrexham earlier today.

The Dutch midfielder, player/manager for Barnet, was one of three players sent off in the feisty 1-1 draw after he left former Liverpool defender Steven Wright requiring a skin-graft having landed a pretty shocking elbow on his opponent.

A brawl involving pretty much all 22 players broke out afterwards, with Davids and Wright both handed their marching orders. Johnny Hunt was later sent off for Wrexham for a terrible tackle on Curtis Weston.

So that's an elbow to the face by a Dutch international legend that left one player needing a skin-graft, a mass brawl, and three red cards. Chuck in a few goals and who cares if the Premier League is coming back or not, right?
