The Belgium national team has witnessed an influx of talented young players over the last few years. And this wasn't just limited to one or two positions on the pitch.

Belgium possess a world-class talent from front to back. With Simon Mignolet and Thibaut Courtois as goalkeepers, this position is more than taken care of, as both are first-choice at their respective clubs.

Next comes defence. Belgium have the ever-dependable Vincent Kompany as their captain (who is out injured at the moment) and the extremely gifted Jan Vertonghen as their centre-backs, though Vertonghen often plays as a left full-back quite often.

Their defensive unit also consists of Thomas Vermaelen, the ever-present Daniel van Buyten and Toby Alderweireld to name just a few.

Midfield is where Belgium possess a wealth of options. Axel Witsel and Marouane Fellaini are comfortable in the holding midfield role, with Mousa Dembele also an option, so there is no problem there.

Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne, Kevin Mirallas, Steven Defour, Dries Mertens, Zakaria Bakkali, Radja Nainggolan, Thomas Buffel and Thorgan Hazard can all play either behind the striker or as wingers.

Bakkali, at just 17 years of age, also shows a lot of promise.

Up front, Belgium have got two very young and talented strikers in Christian Benteke and Romelu Lukaku, whose two goals against Croatia sealed Belgium's place at the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

As you can clearly see above, it's not just one or two players that stand out. Every position contains world-class players. This group of players will be a match for any of the big teams (Germany, Spain, Brazil and so on) in the World Cup next summer.

The 'Golden Generation' are a force to be reckoned with.
