As the U17 World Cup is coming up in three days (kicks off 17th October), GMS academy member Ritvik Ramnath has decided to make a list of three players to watch over the course of the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
Well, here it is....
1. Alen Halilovic | Croatia
The Croatian wonder-kid has already notched three full international caps for the Croatian senior team. Tottenham Hotspur have registered interest in him - as have Real Madrid, according to reports. He is an attacking midfielder and has already scored two goals for his club: Dinamo Zagreb. Definitely one of the greatest talents in European football.
2. Franco Acosta | Uruguay
The Uruguayan starlet was the leading hit-man at the U17 championships in Argentina, with eight goals for his South American nation. The Fenix Club forward has likened himself to the likes of Edinson Cavani - a bold, brave claim. He is a centre-forward that likes to take a chance, and can attack with pace on the counter. Keep an eye on him.
3. Alberto Cerri | Italy
A tall and imposing striker, with 12 goals in 26 games for the Italy U17s, he has already made his Serie A debut for Parma at only 16 years and 348 days old. He likes to dominate the back line with his strength and build - he's listed at 6ft-4in - and helped himself to two smartly taken goals against England last year. He will definitely light up the tournament.
