There's nothing quite as frustrating in football than seeing a potentially brilliant player struck down by injury again and again.

England have suffered in recent years with the likes of Kieron Dyer and Dean Ashton simply having their careers ruined by constant issues.

But the aforementioned pair were never likely to make waves on the world stage.
