Manchester City's Fernandinho is not the only man by that name that has impressed this season.

His namesake, who plays for Brazilian Serie A side Atletico Mineiro, hit the headlines yesterday after scoring a stunning goal to win the derby match against rivals Cruzeiro.

The 27-year-old is seen in the 87th minute cutting in from the right-wing and smashing the ball into the top corner of the goal with a fantastic left-footed strike.

The 1-0 loss for Cruzeiro was only their fifth defeat of the season, but they still top the table after 28 matches.

Mineiro sit in fourth place, 11 points behind the leaders.

Watch the stunning goal above.
