Real Madrid club president, Florentino Perez, has hinted that the club may move for Monaco forward Radamel Falcao next year, stating that the 27-year-old wants to play for Real Madrid.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the Colombian forward, who was linked with Chelsea and Manchester City before he joined Monaco in the summer, could join Madrid next summer.
Perez dismissed talk of a January spending spree, despite speculation that his club are prepared to pay big money to lure Luis Suarez to the Bernabeu, but did hint that Falcao could be an option at the end of the current season.
The Los Blancos president was quoted as having said: "Reportedly Falcao would like to play for Real Madrid."
Falcao has been in great form since his €60million move from Atletico to Monaco, scoring seven times in eight appearances.
There has been widespread rumours about his happiness at the club following reports of the scheduled tax changes almost halving his pay but, for the most part, the former Porto man looks happy to stay in France.
