Real Madrid have confirmed that they have received bids for Karim Benzema, reports the Daily Star.

The French international, who has been linked with Premier League big-boys Arsenal and Chelsea, could depart the Bernabeu with constant questions being asked about his future.

The 25-year-old striker has come in for criticism from a section of Real Madrid supporters for some of his displays and now Real president Florentino Perez has revealed that the club has had offers for the player.

Speaking to reporters, Perez said: "Karim is a great player and we get offers for him all the time, every summer.

"All I can say is that the coach is the one who has the authority to do what he believes is right."

Perez has also criticised fans that have booed Benzema and has suggested that type of behaviour will hinder the team's performances.

The Real president continued by saying: "I am greatly disturbed by this whistling of our own players in our own stadium.

"I ask that our members moderate the whistles and the criticism of our players because, if not, it could weaken us."

It's not yet known which clubs made moves for the French international, but both Arsenal and Chelsea continue to monitor his situation in Spain. Both clubs could make a move for the French international in the near future as they look to improve their front-lines.
