At 6ft 2in tall, Chelsea defender David Luiz is no shrinking violet. But, that's exactly what he looked like in this picture taken alongside Chinese basketball star Sun Ming Ming.

The 7ft 9in basketball player posed alongside the Brazil international for a funny photo, which was immediately uploaded to the 26-year-old's Instagram account with the caption: 'Sun Ming Ming: the tallest man in the world!'

Luiz is currently on international duty with the 2014 World Cup hosts, and played in Saturday's 2-0 friendly win over South Korea in Seoul.

Luis Felipe Scolari named a strong line-up against the 2002 World Cup semi-finalists, with the Stamford Bridge stopper paired at the heart of the Samba stars' defence with Dante.

Neymar, Jo and Hulk were all included in the starting XI, with goals coming in each half from the Barcelona forward, and Luiz's Chelsea teammate Oscar.

There were no signs of any jet lag from the Brazil squad's 30-hour trip to South Korea, and they'll be hoping to record another positive result in their second friendly match against Zambia in Beijing on Tuesday.
