Southampton star Gastón Ramírez is a transfer target for Rafa Benitez's Napoli, according to reports.
The 22-year-old midfielder has impressed in the Premier League since his £12million move from Serie A side Bologna, with Napoli now looking to bring the Uruguay international back to Italy.
It has also been reported that the Saints player has fallen out with manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Ramirez's agent has been quoted as saying:
“Napoli is a possibility,” Betancourt is reported to have told website napolicalciolive.com.
“Gastón really likes the chairman, Nicola Cortese, but not the coach, Pochettino.”
The midfielder has scored six goals in 29 matches since joining Southampton in August 2012.
Ramirez began his career in his homeland with Penerol and made 30 first team appearances before being snapped up by Bologna in 2010.
With Benitez's Napoli set to mount a challenge for the league title this year, as well as a Champions League campaign, the manager will be looking to strengthen his squad in January no doubt.
