Mark Bosnich the former Manchester United player has urged Sir Alex Ferguson to get back into management by becoming head coach of Australia.
Bosnich believes for Australia to develop as a footballing nation they need to appoint the best.
He believes that Australia should do all they can to attract the notorious Ferguson so that they can enhance their footballing reputation and to help football in Australia in the long run.
Australia are currently without a manager after Holger Osieck was sacked.
Bosnich was quoted saying: "Im just being honest and have had experience under him so I know what he is like – it is Alex Ferguson."
Ferguson has had international experience as he managed Scotland in the 1986 World Cup, but only because of the unfortunate circumstances after Scotland’s manager Jock Stein had passed away.
Ferguson retired from football at the end of last season after winning the league title with Manchester United.
Bosnich clearly thinks Australia need to have ambition if they are to succeed and by appointing Ferguson Australia would really put themselves on the map.
Is Bosnich a little enthusiastic or will Australia do everything they can to persuade the veteran?
