German international Andre Schurrle has endured a somewhat quiet start to life in the Premier League since moving to Chelsea from Bundesliga title hopefuls Bayer Leverkusen during the summer.
While he has certainly not disgraced himself by any means, the former Mainz 05 star is yet to really showcase the full extent of his considerable talent.
However, that talent was on display for all to see on Tuesday evening as Germany rounded off their successful qualifying campaign for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil by recording a thrilling 5-3 victory over Sweden in Solna.
22-year-old Schurrle was irresistible for the visitors and netted an admirable hat-trick as Joachim Löw's side further asserted their status as Group C winners.
And while his first two goals were pleasant enough, it was his third that really caught the eye. Receiving a finely-weighted ball just outside the penalty box, Schurrle took one touch before curling a delightful right-footed effort into the net.
