Those who predicted that Andros Townsend's spectacle against Montenegro was a once in a blue moon occurrence have been left to eat their words after last night's performance.

As expected, people are now heralding the 22-year-old as a ready-made, home-grown replacement for the recently departed Gareth Bale at Spurs.
