Thomas Vermaelen (Arsenal & Belgium)

The Arsenal skipper has played just two games for the north London so far this season after falling behind Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny in the pecking order.

Having been dropped from Arsenal's starting line up, Vermaelen has stated that he may have to leave the club in January in order to minutes under his belt between now and the World Cup.

Vermaelen started the Red Devils' match against Wales on Tuesday but is likely to be replaced by the injured Vincent Kompany, when the centre-back returns to full fitness.
