Chelsea and Real Madrid have been told Monaco striker Radamel Falcao will cost them a world record £168million if they want to prise him away the Ligue One side.
Former Blues coach Claudio Ranieri is keen to keep hold of the Columbian star who moved to the Stade Louis II for £52million in the summer.
Despite only signing for Ranieri's side, long-term suitors Real Madrid and Chelsea are still said to be keen on signing the prolific goalscorer.
Falcao has started his Monaco career off in fine form by scoring seven goals in nine games for the Ligue One side, which is sure to only heighten Chelsea and Real Madrid's interest in the striker.
However Monaco boss Ranieri has warned Falcao would cost considerably more than Gareth Bale, who joined Real Madrid for a reported world record fee of £86million in September.
The Italian tactician, speaking to the Metro, said on Falcao: "If Gareth Bale is €100million then how much is Falcao? He is €200million [£168million]."
