Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata feels as though he is back on track and is edging closer to his best form again, reports Sky Sports.
The creative midfielder participated in Spain’s 2-0 victory against Georgia on Tuesday night and could see an improvement in his play.
Although Mata did start the game on the bench; he came on to score for his native country, again showing that he has commendable talent.
"I am very happy to win, to qualify first mathematically and to go out and score," said the Spaniard.
Mata’s early season situation has been tough, warming the bench for the Chelsea side that he has been the star of during the past two seasons.
Mata believed it was because of his injury that he was not part of the Chelsea team so far this season.
"I'm fine, I've been playing several games and I think I am at a good level," he added. "I feel fine. When I had a difficult time that was in pre-season due to injury."
Mata’s artistic play has been key to the Chelsea side over the last two years and he feels as though he is ready to perform at that level again.
So is Mata going to command the midfield again or is he to play second fiddle to Oscar? Only Jose Mourinho knows...
