Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has insisted that the club can win more than one trophy this season, reports Goal.com.
The Gunners haven't won silverware since 2005, however the Spanish star expects the north London outfit to make a serious challenge for trophies this season.
And, after an impressive start for Arsene Wenger's side in this campaign, Monreal now wants the club to continue their fine form.
Speaking to the club's official website, Monreal said: “I would not say just one [trophy], I would say a few. Of course that is very tough to achieve.
“The Premier League is very difficult, the Champions League, these are major trophies but we are on a good run.
“We are top of the table, it is still early doors, but we will take every game as it comes and at the end hopefully we’ll win a title.”
Monreal has also revealed that joining Arsenal was the best moment of his career and the star has insisted that atmosphere around the Emirates is a great one.
And he continued by saying: “When I was offered the chance to come here, I was in the best moment of my career.
“I had a lot of confidence, I had [manager Manuel] Pellegrini’s trust, I felt that I played a key role at Malaga and with the national side, and I think I came here at the right time.
“The players’ confidence [is different this season]. You can tell that they are very enthusiastic, very happy, the results are going our way and logically that makes everything easier.
“We have a happy group and that is very important to playing football well.”
The Gunners take on Norwich this weekend and will be hoping to stay at the top of the table with another win at the Emirates. Monreal will be hoping to play his part as Premier League action returns after the international break.
